The ball plow technique takes full advantage of the body’s seam structure. It is especially lovely for enhancing slide & glide among deep fascial layers. This is the ultimate technique for mobiliz- ing and transitioning large layers of superficial fascia over deeper fascias. It utilizes one ball (or multiple balls in close proximity) to act as a “squeegee” in an attempt to create a grand sliding motion within entire sheets of myofascia at once. The ball plow technique seeks out a fascial partition where one muscle converges into another. The ball acts like a plow to create massive tissue transition and shift in only one direction, much like a snowplow clearing snow.
